'Kintsugi' is an art of mending broken ceramic objects, its philosophical roots were studied to form the design thesis.

Mending of broken piece of architecture
Above are a few snippets from final year design thesis. The thesis consisted of major two parts first research work to build a theory and second application of the theory to produce a design solution to a problem of broken piece of architecture.
Semester 9
Metro station + Modern cultural centre




Aim was to make a modern cultural centre like 'Pompidou Centre', as an extension to proposed metro station in Sector 14, Kharghar.
Both the structures are joined by a structural system expanding outwards occupying less space on ground and cantilevering out. The extension is made into a public hotspot to lighten up the neighbourhood with activities and market places, which it lacks.
Housing Complex at Lalbaug
Semester 7




Exercise of designing a housing was approached by exploring idea of incremental houses but in a high-rise building. Thus, making the facade free to be manipulated by the users thus reflecting the users on the face of building, good or bad. Each room can be incremented as need of users increases.




Cultural Hub
This project was an exercise in studying current contemporary art culture of India and making a space where the new cultural movements are brought to Navi Mumbai. Also the ideation of planning was based on philosophy of Pseudorealism originated in contemporary India. The planning ideation was successful in making each individuals museum experience different from every other individual, though within a same structure.
The project also won 1st prize in inter-college competition in Mumbai, and in top-20 in all over India.

Semester 5
Neighbourhood Club House at Vashi




The project was a test of putting the theory 'Function of the Oblique' in architecture in order to make architecture of a neighbourhood club house more noticeable, interactive and play full for the users. In order to make the process more self explanatory it was made into a archi-comic. This was the first project where narrative in architecture was thought about and presented in drawings.
